Additional Inmate Services
In addition to our primary ministries of Bible correspondence and reintegration, we also serve inmates and their families in the following ways:
- In-Prison Visitation
- Inspirational Calendars
- Study Bibles at a Reduced Price
- Cards, Notes and Letters
- Courses for Families of Inmates
In-Prison Visitation
Our minister, Rev. Rudy de Vries, seeks to visit most of our Ontario students on a regular basis. This is done to provide a face to our ministry, an opportunity for our students to personally interact with us regarding their studies, and a time for open discussion and prayer.
Rev. de Vries also meets with inmates who have requested a visit through their Chaplain even though they are not currently enrolled in our Bible courses.
In other parts of Canada, there are pastors and lay people who will visit our students for the same purpose.
Inspirational Calendars
Cornerstone provides Canadian prisons with several hundred copies of our Inspirational Calendars free of charge. Each month has a beautiful nature scene with an accompanying Bible verse. We are thankful for this practical opportunity to contribute something that is attractive and inspirational to many cell walls in Canadian prisons.
The calendar also provides the inmate with a letter from our Executive Director, an introduction to Cornerstone, and a cut-off to fill out and send in to enroll in a free Bible Correspondence course.
Prison Chaplains are eager to receive their annual shipments to quiet the many inquiries of inmates asking if the Cornerstone calendars have arrived yet.
Study Bibles at a Reduced Price
We continue to provide hardcover Reformation Study Bibles to Canadian inmates and/or their family members for only $25.00. This provides them with an excellent tool for serious Bible study.
Any inmate enrolled in our courses will receive a free copy of this study Bible when they complete Level One of our courses.

Cards, Notes and Letters
Every time a student sends in a completed lesson for grading, in addition to grading the lesson, their Instructor will also write a letter of encouragement to them.
Cornerstone students also receive birthday cards, seasonal greeting cards and random notes of encouragement throughout their study time with us.

Courses for Families of Inmates
At times, members of an inmate’s family will contact us asking if they too can enroll in our free correspondence courses. We are glad to enroll them as well and so provide a study for the whole family to work through.
